You're exactly like them, so we'd appreciate it if you just cut the crap and the bad acting. Don't bother coming around acting like the mediator or the 'innocent party', because we see right through you. In short, buzz off.

General Etiquette 101

1. When you're a guest in someone's house and they make you breakfast, say "Thank You", not "Rajinnye" unless you feel like getting your face bitch-slapped by telur mata yang tengah panas lagi tu.

2. When you go out with no intentions of inviting someone langsung, and they suddenly show up at the same shop for a meal, maybe you should thank them for paying for your meal instead of making jokes about "untungnya, diorang datang, kita takyah bayar! lalalalalallalala" and then not even bother to show any gratitude whatsoever.

Aku bukan berkira lah. Tapi in the first place it's not like we were wanted there pun kan or else mesti kena ajak? With proper etiquette though, I don't mind paying for you. Sumpah, tak kisah. But then bila keluar perangai tu, coming from someone yang dah almost nak grad uni and dah besar panjang, dah boleh nak kawin dah, (depan an impressionable young teenager pulak tu), keluar la perangai tak ikhlas aku jugak. Fair la kan? Ko keluar perangai taik, aku pun keluar jugak perangai camtu.

Kalau aku cakap depan2 nanti jadi hal lain, so biar aku cakap kat sini.

Trust me, honey, "Please" and "Thank You"s are NEVER overrated. Don't forget that.

The Star - Heartless Act of a Son and Daughter-in-Law

Taken from The Star Online

A 57-year-old man, who had just undergone heart surgery, thought he could recuperate at home but was in for a shock when his son told him not to return home.

Harian Metro reported that Abdul Rahman Talib was abandoned by the roadside in Kangar with just a bag of clothes by his 30-year-old son after his daughter-in-law refused to let him back into the house.

“I asked my son to drive me to town although I did not know where I could go. Instead, he left me in front of a school.

“I cried as I stepped out from his car. I did not expect him to treat me like this after I’ve brought him up lovingly all these years,” he said, adding that he felt lost wandering around before finally settling down for the night at a bus stop.

Abdul Rahman said the following day, his son had come to look for him but the old man’s joy was short-lived when he realised that the son was only dropping off his bicycle.

He said he met an acquaintance near the school two days later and was invited to spend the night at his house.

It is understood that the Social Welfare Department had since sent Abdul Rahman to the Batu Bertangkap Welfare Home in Beseri.

I'm speechless.

Logic and Common Sense = Lost

Our country is in a state of confusion. Most people are dazed with what has been going on of late.

As usual, people are pointing fingers, not realising that the rest of their own are pointed straight back at them. Hate is perched freely on people's shoulders with its hands over their eyes, letting them run around blindly without them even knowing it. Blame is procreating at such a fast pace that those left with logic and common sense are helpless to stop it.

No blame here, no hate.

Just the sad dawning realisation of what kind of people exist in this world. And what our country has become.

First the cow head incident, and now this.

Whoever the perpetrators are, and to those that support these blatant disrespectful acts may god save your soul.

I leave it to you to figure out what I'm talking about.

Chillis

...is seriously deteriorating, in terms of service AND standards.

First of all, when we asked for a waitress to take our order, she gave us this disapproving look before nodding grudgingly and then asking another waitress to do it instead.

Second of all, you seem to have to travel to the moon and back just to flag down ANYONE to ask for refills or whatever.

I remember the first time I went to Chillis, back when it only had one little lot over in BSC. Everyone was nice, and no matter how crowded the place was, someone would always care enough to come by every 10 minutes or so to ask how the food is, just in case we needed assistance of any sort.

And the food, don't even get me started.

The chicken crispers should have been called 'Fried flour, with tiny little strips of chicken inside'.

And seriously, you decided to cut away so many ingredients from the nachos, and serve nacho chips with some bland tasting cheese-like stuff on top and you think people won't notice the difference from its rich, flavourful counterpart that you used to serve?

Shame on you. Seriously.

I say it's probably time to look for another Mexican restaurant. Maybe one that isn't an arrogant, cocky bloodsucking food establishment that seems to not mind offending loyal customers just because it has 4 outlets already and each is always filled to the brim.

Sooner or later, people will see what rubbish you've become and go elsewhere.

Welcoming 2010

With amazing company, namely:

1. Reliving my childhood with these little munchkins

who helped me find out that Littlefoot's mother's death STILL makes me cry after all these years, and that Sharptooth STILL scares me. I am happy to say that I still find this movie one of the best movies ever made.

2. Reliving my husband's childhood with them

Although I have to admit I fell asleep a few times during the show. Not that the movie is boring, I think I was a bit tired.

3. And of course, last but certainly not least, with the hubby.

The two movies ended right before the countdown and guess what?

Our room has a beautiful view of One Utama and The Curve and as the clock struck 12, we managed to bag ourselves TWO hassle-free, crowd-free, FREE fireworks shows, right from the comfort of our own bedroom.

This is the life. :)

Happy New Year Everyone!
